MEETING MINUTES

January 20, 2016

PRESENT: Mayor: Ed Mosser; Council Members: Jim Beach, Pat Stenzel; City Clerk-Treasurer: Nicole LaFrance; Fire Chief: Steve Seipp

ABSENT: Council Member:  Kaleb Bjornstad, Jeremy Henke; City Maintenance Operator: Bill Guggisberg

Mayor Edward Mosser called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

City Clerk, Nicole LaFrance called roll.

Council Member Jim beach motioned to approve the December 16, 2015 meeting minutes. Council Member Jim Beach advanced; motion carried.

City Clerk spoke under maintenance report for the annual water education schooling in St. Cloud for Maintenance Operator Bill Guggisberg in March 2016. Council Member Pat Stenzel motioned to approve Bill Guggisberg to attend water schooling in March. Council Member Jim Beach advanced; motion carried.

Under unfinished business, council discussed property address 510 Park Street. This property was described an hazardous with the County Environmental Services Department. The property is being occupied with no running water. The city council would like city clerk to move forward with removal of the hazardous property and contact the city attorney for this process. City Clerk will contact County Auditor Treasurer’s Department on the contract for deed information and responsibility for owner to notify occupant or the city personnel.

Under unfinished business, Council Member Jim Beach discussed contacting Freeborn Mower Cooperative Services for possibly getting LED street lights. Mayor, Ed Mosser will check into this.

Under new business, Council Member Pat Stenzel motioned to approve Resolution 2016-1 City Organization Resolution. Council Member Jim Beach advanced; motion carried. Mayor Ed Mosser signed the city auditor engagement letter to complete the 2015 audit.

Council Member Pat Stenzel motioned to approve the accounts payable and reconciliation reports. Council Member Jim Beach advanced; motion carried.

There was no miscellaneous items to report.
