City Council Regular Meeting Minutes
Dec 12, 2023
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Seipp at 6:30 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was said.
City Clerk called roll.
Roll Call: Present: Mayor: Seipp, Council Members: Jim Beach, Dawn Beckmann, Curt Backeberg, City Clerk Kristen Anderson, Bill Guggisberg, Pat Stenzel,
Absent:
Motion was made by Beach to approve November 14, Regular Meeting Minutes—2nd Backeberg— motion carried.
Public Comment
Motion was made by Beach to close meeting for employee review, seconded by Backeberg.
Closed meeting.
Motion was made by Beach to reopen meeting, seconded by Stenzel.
Starting January 1st, 2024 Guggisberg wage will be $24.94, and PTO will go up to 0.108 per hr. (27 days, 15 vacation & 12 Holidays)
Maintenance Report: 2 new culverts were put in at 303 park, city buying culverts and resident doing the work.
Discussion of snow removal contract would like an updated contract.
Clerk report:
Have an upcoming insurance meeting with Americana Insurance

Motion was made by Beach to set Final Levy was set at increase of 3 ½ and seconded by Stenzel. Motion carried
November Bills were discussed.
Motion made by Backeberg to approve Accounts Payables, Receivables and Reconciliation Reports– seconded Beckmann – motion carried.
Discussion of council pay in cities in southern Minnesota.
Motion made by Beach to raise council pay to $100 a regular meeting, $50 for special meeting. Mayor $125 meeting, $75 special meeting. Seconded by Stenzel- motion carried.
Motion made by Backeberg to adjourn —2nd by Beckmann—carried.
