City Council Regular Meeting Minutes
April 17, 2019
Roll Call: Present: Mayor: Ed Mosser; Council Members: Jim Beach, Dale Hedensten; Pat Stenzel, Arik Mattson; City Clerk: Nicole LaFrance; Maintenance Operator: Bill Guggisberg Absent: Arik Matson
Meeting was called to order by Council Member Beach at 6:30 p.m.
Pledge of Allegiance was said
Motion was made by Beach to approve the March 20, 2019 Regular Meeting Minutes —2nd by Stenzel—carried.
There was no public comment.
Maintenance Report: Guggisberg wanted to thank Fire Department for their Emergency Management process with the ice storm. He called locksmith for replacnig lock on fire department door. Saturday is cemetery clean up.
Unfinished Business: Delinquent water/sewer accounts were discussed.
New Business: Thank you card to Freeborn Mower Cooperative Services will be sent for their contribution to restoring power to Freeborn.
New Business: The city is researching a new or newer generator option. Council member Beach has been gathering quotes. Guggisberg will call Ron’s Plumbing and Heating to see how large of a generator is needed to power lift stations.
New Business: Council discussed chip sealing for next summer 2020. Guggisberg will call and get that arranged for upkeep of streets.
Motion made by Beach to approve Resolution 2019-4 Requesting Comprehensive Road & Transit Funding – 2nd by Hedensten -carried.
New Business: Pictures for website were taken.
Motion made by Stenzel to accept and approve the Accounts Payable and Reconciliation Reports –2nd by Beach—carried.
Miscellaneous Items: There was no miscellaneous items to report.
Motion made by Stenzel to adjourn —2nd by Hedensten—carried.
